Jamie Wolf’s Fall/Winter 2013 Collection is a beautiful tribute to her recent expansion into new stones, new silhouettes, and new stores. Inspired by the ten years she spent as a dancer with the New York City Ballet, her belief that beauty is often found in the finest details resonates throughout her collection and translates into pieces that are chic and relevant.
Working with what is classically beautiful and articulating it with a sophisticated edge, Wolf’s pieces toe the line between luxury and utility and the resulting collection is both stunning and totally wearable. For her Fall/Winter 2013 color palette, Wolf picked up a few of her favorite stones from past collections, including turquoise and black star diopside.
"I love how turquoise can look luxurious, but maintains its association with nature," says Wolf. "Similarly, black star diopside is a stone that has an internal light that I find to be rare in dark colors - a quality that gives the black stone a certain softness, making it both striking and welcoming."
While designing the collection, Wolf drew from her love of re-purposing shapes and patterns from her past collections, as well as creating new concepts that feel fresh, yet familiar. The Marquis Long Leaf Earring remains Wolf’s favorites from her collection. In it’s entirety, the Fall / Winter 2013 collection emphasizes Wolf’s newfound love of natural neutrals complemented by classic materials with elements of eternal style.
